The Wilds Bldg 10
The Wilds, a luxury townhome community, is perched on a ridge above historic downtown Basalt with dramatic views of the Elk Mountain Range and Mt. Sopris. The development, constructed in the late 1990’s, was only partially completed due to economic downturn and the new ownership team hired KA DesignWorks to finish an undeveloped phase of the project. The development’s original design intent was reminiscent of a traditional Italian hillside community with easy access to town yet surrounded by wilderness.
This project added one building to the development that contains two 3100 s.f. residences with contemporary interiors that contrast with the rugged mountain setting. With three levels of living, the great rooms are perched on the upper level to maximize the views. The local real estate professionals have referred to these units as the crowning phase of luxury townhome living in the Mid-valley.
