Edgewood Creek

Snowmass Village, CO

Set on two sloping lots in Snowmass Village, the Edgewood Creek Residence was designed to work in harmony with a site defined by ski access, flowing water, and panoramic mountain views. The architecture carefully navigates around existing creeks and ponds, allowing these natural features to remain central to the experience of the home. Traditional mountain forms, reclaimed timber trusses, and natural stone establish a sense of permanence and familiarity, while expansive glass and cleaner detailing introduce a more contemporary character. A bridge spanning the creek and waterfall creates a memorable arrival sequence, connecting the garage and entry to the main residence beyond.

The home was organized around a series of gathering spaces that engage directly with the surrounding landscape. Formal living and dining areas open toward mountain views and the sound of moving water, while a large covered deck extends the living experience outdoors with multiple seating areas, a fireplace, and an outdoor kitchen overlooking the ski slopes and pond. Private spaces are layered thoughtfully throughout the home, including a primary suite positioned beyond the main living areas and a lower level designed for recreation and guest accommodations. Ski amenities, family gathering spaces, and expansive outdoor patios are woven into the architecture, creating a residence that feels deeply connected to both the mountain environment and the rhythms of daily life.
